| Pine Island Road from Sheridan Street to Stirling Road is the
Missing Link. On completion of the road late this year, there will be an uninterrupted
corridor from the north end of the County (Coral Springs) to the south county line.
It will relieve traffic on University Drive and provide access to and from Miami-Dade
including attractions such as the Pro Player Stadium.
This aerial photo, taken May 13, 2002, shows the south
end of the project where it meets Sheridan Street. Drainage pipe is stockpiled
ready for completion of the main stormwater line.
Also shown is part of Cooper City Commons (lower portion of photo), a
new shopping center about to be opened.
