The County's Engineering Division's in-house Design Section primary goal is the design and
construction of a safe, cost effective roadway system to meet the needs of the County's
residents, visitors, and regulatory agencies. The Design Section designs and monitors roadway
construction to meet the requirements of the County's Minimum Standards as well as the Florida
Department of Transportation Standards. The Design Section develops construction documents
(Plans & Specifications) with two key principles in mind - Maximize Safety & Minimize Cost.
